Burkina Faso: Anti Corruption Law Forbids Officials From Accepting Gifts Over $60

President Marc Christian Kabore

There's an African adage that says, "Three things that a man must know to survive: what is too much for him, what is too little, and what is fitting." For government officials in Burkina faso, any gift worth $60 or 35,000 CFA francs is a fitting appreciation, anything more than that is too much and can get them in jail for 20 years.

That's because Burkina faso wants to fight official corruption and they came up with a law which forbids any official from accepting any gifts worth more than $60 or 35,000 CFA francs.
These Burkinabes aren't playing with official corruption and their idea should be emulated round Africa.

Don't you think it's time we adopted an Anti-corruption law like this in Nigeria? If you don't think so, you must be benefitting from corruption! :/
