The 2016 Federal Budget rigmarole (and all the challenges that came with it) would finally be put to rest next week according to news emanating from State House correspondents present at the crucial meeting between the executive and the legislature held in Abuja.
In attendance at the meeting were President Buhari, VP Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun amongst other bigwigs.
Both arms of government must have realized the futility of their chest-thumping exercise and seen reason to pipe down and behave like reasonable adults over the budget crisis to enable the Nation move forward.
We hope that no one breaks a leg during the final “tackling” they have set out to do.
