Senate President Bukola Saraki
Bola Tinubu trended on Twitter yesterday, with the hashtag 'Tinubu'. Here's why.
Some are accusing the APC National Leader of being behind the Senate President's trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, while others maintain that Saraki should face the law and not point accusing fingers. What is Tinubu's own inside the matter? Well...
Earlier in the week, Saraki revealed that he is paying for opposing an all-Muslim ticket during the 2015 APC Presidential elections.
"I have also been accused of helping to frustrate some people's opportunity to emerge as President Muhammadu Buhari's running mate. But I have no problem with anybody." Those were allegedly the words of the senate president, in reaction to his present plight at the CCT.
Saraki was said to have vehemently opposed an all-muslim ticket in the APC like when they fielded Chief MKO Abiola and Babagana Kingibe in the annulled 1993 elections.
CCT justice Danladi Umar was not left out either. Read the tweets and photos relating to the matter below...
