Late Dagrin
We cannot believe that Dagrin has been gone for six years! Before the likes of Olamide, Phyno and Yung-six had the Nigerian rap music scene in a chokehold, Dagrin arguably was Nigeria's king of the streets.
The late Dagrin named Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun may not have been the first rapper on the scene but he took the game to another level with his C.E.O album which laid the blueprint today’s rappers still build their success on.
As we write, it's been six years since the cold hands of death snatched this undisputed king of rap music and the fans still miss the foundation stone of modern rap music in Nigeria. R.I.P Darin...your memory lives on in the music you left behind.
