They went, they saw, they conquered! Enyimba FC of Aba did the near impossible when they wrested victory out of the jaws of defeat during the return leg of the prestigious CAF Champions League Group Phase qualification match with their North-African opponents, Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia in Tunis.
The trip was nothing short of the biblical Daniel's visit to the lion's den as their hosts ensured the Aba-based club had a most discomfitting reception at the stadium in the return-leg fixture.
The Elephants of Aba, however, surmounted the obstacles their Tunisan opponents threw before them, held the 3-0 loss in the return fixture and clawed back from the 2 penalty-kick deficit before triumphing over their hosts 7-6 on penalties.
