Nigeria: CCT vs Saraki: Saraki's Lawyer Almost Thrown Out Of Court

Mild drama ensued today at the proceedings of the Senate President's Code of Conduct Trial on Thursday morning (today), when one of the defendant's lawyers, Raphael Oluyede, was almost thrown out of court for contempt.
Oluyede was said to be challenging the Tribunal judge, Justice Danladi Umar's refusal to entertain the lawyer's motion for the judge to disqualify himself from the tribunal trying the Senate President's case.
But for the EFFC's counsel, Mr Rotimi Jacob's intervention, Oluyede would have found himself cooling his heels in jail for having a shouting match with the tribunal judge over his dismissed motion.
