Will Smith, a former football star for the NFL's New Orleans Saints, has been shot and killed after an apparent case of road rage.
Smith and his wife were driving in New Orleans on Saturday night, April 9th, when they got into a fender bender with another driver.
Smith's car was allegedly bumped from behind by Cardell Hayes' car, the alleged shooter.
Hayes confronted Smith by firing six to eight shots, according to eye witnesses, killing the ex-defensive end and seriously injuring his wife.
Cardell Hayes has been arrested and booked on charges of first degree murder.
