I Won't Resign- Senate President, Bukola Saraki

Embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki on Friday said that he would not resign despite growing calls from Nigerians that he should step down.

Mr Saraki said that those calling for his resignation are being sponsored by politicians who had always opposed his leadership since he emerged Senate President last year.

Mr Saraki is in court for charges of corruption, false declaration of assets and the most recent, his alleged implication in the Panama papers.

In Nigeria, it is very rare to hear of government officials resigning under corruption charges or any condition whatsoever!
