Tragedy struck yesterday Sunday, 3rd of April, along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway when an accident involving a commercial bus and a truck claimed the lives of five people, including a pregnant woman.
The accident, which occurred at about 5am was attributed to the bad spots on the busy highway. Motorists usually ply the barely manageable one-way route to escape traffic and damage to their vehicles.
It was reported that the commercial bus was driving against traffic on high speed when it rammed into the trailer leading to the death of the commercial bus driver and four passengers. The conductor miraculously escaped death but was severely injured.
The bodies were deposited at the Isolo General Hospital mortuary, Lagos.
